Hair.

I get a lot of questions about my hair, both from people I know and from absolute strangers. “Isn’t it hard to maintain?” “How do you style it?” and my least favorite: “Can I touch it?” Haha.

So let me clarify a few things:
My hair is in its natural state; its not chemically altered by relaxers or texturizers. The reason for this is simple: I like my hair the way it is. I like it’s fullness and versatility and therefore I see no reason to change it. I’m sorry if you expected a long-winded explanation about how the society has brainwashed the black woman into thinking that only “tamed”, straight hair is beautiful and that by keeping my hair natural I’m trying to “Fight The Power”. Nah, I just like my hair.

My hair is MY HAIR, like I grow it from my own roots. You’ll never see me wearing hair attachments like hair weaves or wigs. It is just not my thing.

I loveee trying new things with my hair, I design most of my hairstyles :)

So, from time to time I’ll be posting pictures of my hairdo’s and I’ll try to describe how I created them, enjoy!
